Welcome!

My name is Travis Whitfield, and I'm an early career data scientist currently looking for an entry level position in the field. I graduated with a mechanical engineering degree in 2012, and have worked in the aerospace industry since then (which might help explain why a lot of my data science projects involve aircraft), but I'm looking to transition into a career in data science.

This particular project, an online database of (almost) all aircraft designs and their specifications, is something that I've wanted to have for a long time. After an extensive web search, I figured that one didn't exist, so I went about trying to build one myself.
